Festivals and events are a vital component of the community, bringing Tucsonans together to celebrate their history, culture, food, and more. Many organizations work together to enhance the event experience for locals and visitors. Tucson has twice been designated a World Festival and Event City by the International Festival and Events Association.
Tucson St. Patrick’s Day
Rio Nuevo invests in events to bring residents and visitors to downtown and other commercial areas within the District, ultimately increasing the generation of sales tax within the District and the City. Thank you for considering us as a potential partner for your event.
Due to current budget constraints, Rio Nuevo is not accepting new sponsorship requests for events not already included in the current FY27 budget. We anticipate considering new requests again in spring 2027.
Organizations whose events were supported by Rio Nuevo in FY26 (July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026) are encouraged to contact us at info@rionuevo.org to determine whether funding for their event has already been included in this year’s budget.
