Local entrepreneur Whitney Marx opened a second location of the successful Kava Bar at 63 E. Pennington Street. The District is investing $150,000 in the renovation of the vacant storefront to house the Kava Den, serving non-alcoholic drinks using kava, a root derived from a Polynesian crop.
