Completed in 2016, renovations to the Tucson Convention Center include new locker rooms, sound and video system, renovated bathrooms, lighting and interior wall upgrades, new press box, weight room facilities, concession stand, and seat upgrades. These upgrades assisted in bringing the Roadrunners Hockey team and new arena football, Tucson Sugar Skulls, to Tucson, which has enjoyed a warm reception.
